Personal Trainer course content and delivery/assessment method
The Personal Trainer course consists of 6 units:
Applied Anatomy and Physiology
Client Motivation and Interaction
Bespoke Exercise Programme Design
Programme Instruction and Communication Techniques
Business Skills for a PT
Taught element (taught courses only):
You will receive 10 taught days during which you will learn all practical elements of the course. We will teach you advanced physical screening and training modalities and methods so that you can effectively programme exercise for a range of clients.
Distance learning element:
You will also receive learning resources including manuals or elearning (extra cost) that give you the knowledge that you need to back up your practical ability.
Anatomy and physiology multiple choice exam
Nutrition multiple choice exam
Online self-marking worksheets
A Learner Achievement Record that includes a 12 week 'real life' case study and worksheets
You have up to 12 months to complete your course. However, it is common for students to complete their Personal Trainer qualification in 3-6 months.

Don't forget, you'll need to complete your Gym Instructor course as a pre-requisite to the PT course :-)
